Past student Elinor Cole jumped at the chance to return to her former secondary school when she received an invitation by former classmate and newly qualified English teacher, Aaishah Rauf, to be part of a session on poetry.  Miss Rauf has arranged this special event at Windsor for students in year 9, 10 and 12 who are aspiring writers, stating "we encourage reading and creative writing both within the curriculum and outside of school".

On 2nd July 2019 Elinor will be reading from her published collection of poems and holding a Q&A on her route into publishing and her career as a writer so far.  Elinor left Windsor in 2014 after completing her A-Levels and has since gone on to publish her first collection of poems, Bella, in 2018.  She also writes a blog, offers mentoring to poets through this blog and has given lectures to students at Worcester University on the Creative Writing degree course.  Elinor is studying for a MA in Shakespeare and works at Shakespeare's Birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon.
