Three former Windsor High School and Sixth Form students will be reaching new heights in January as they take on a skydive for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Adam Jones, Alex Dudley and Evie Basterfield are hoping to raise £1,000 for the charity as they freefall from 13,000ft, and will also host a fundraising evening in December.
Kicking off at 7pm on Friday 4 December at The Lighthouse – 152 Coombs Road, Halesowen – the daredevil trio are inviting people to come along and enjoy live music and activities to raise money for Macmillan. There will also be a chance to win prizes by taking part in the charity raffle, in return for a donation.
Macmillan provides medical, emotional, practical and financial support to more than 2.5 million cancer sufferers, and their families, in the UK. There from the moment of diagnosis through to recovery, Macmillan gives those diagnosed with cancer the inspiration, energy and support to take control back from cancer.
Donations can be made via the group’s JustGiving page (
www.justgiving.com/Skydive-for-macmillan) or by attending the fundraising evening on 4 December.
